HELEN SUSANNE MONGAN, 62, of Clear Spring, Maryland passed away Thursday, August 15, 2013 at her home, with her family by her side. Born December 9, 1950 in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Spangler and Mary Susan Powell. She was a member of Longmeadow Church of the Brethren. Helen was formerly employed with Action Products. She is survived by her husband, Leroy Mongan, two daughters, Mary Hammond of West Virginia and Charlene Kane of Sharpsburg, Md.; two sons, Lloyd Kane of West Virginia and Eugene Kane of Fayettville, Pa.; two sisters, Patricia Valgene and Peggy Keefer, both of Hagerstown; and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Longmeadow Church of the Brethren, 19642 Longmeadow Road, Hagerstown. Pastor Paul N. Leatherman III will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. There will be no viewing. Arrangements by Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. Hagerstown, Md.
