Helen Virginia Doub, 91, passed away at her home on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. Born March 25, 1931 in Halfway, MD, she was the daughter of the late Luther Scott Snook and the late Nellie Catherine (Miller) Snook.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Gerald Weaver Doub, on August 25, 1997.

Helen graduated with the class of 1949 from Hagerstown High School. She was a life member of Zion Lutheran Church.

She is survived by one son, Dennis Seth Doub (wife, Cindy); three grandsons, Justin R. Doub (wife, Cassie) of Camino, CA, James R. Doub (wife, Kimberlee) of Greencastle, PA, and Andrew E. Doub (wife, Susan) of Shelbyville, KY; numerous great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Mary Lois Doub.

In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by her son, Garry Miller Doub; granddaughter, Jennifer Renee Hovermale; and five brothers, William R. "Bill" Snook, Robert H. "Bob" Snook, Edward N. "Ed" Snook, Martin L. "Marty" Snook, and Donald M. "Duck" Snook.

The funeral service will be held at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD, on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 11am, with Pastor Kimberly Nunberg officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport, MD.
