Helen Katherine Bussard, 97, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. She was born on December 3, 1926 in Hagerstown, MD to the late Oda Keller Bussard and Alice Sarah Sanders Bussard. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Helen was a 1945 graduate of Hagerstown High School. She was employed with C&P and Verizon Telephone Company for forty-four and a half years before retiring in 1990. Additionally, she was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Helen was a longtime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Funkstown.

Helen is survived by a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 10:30am – 11:30am at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard in Hagerstown.

A funeral service will immediately follow, beginning at 11:30am at the funeral home. Pastor Lee Brumback will officiate.

Interment will take place at Broadfording Cemetery in Hagerstown.
