HAZEL KATHLEEN HENSON, 86, of Hagerstown, Maryland passed away, Friday, May 26, 2017 at Greenfield Assisted Living in Hagerstown. Born October 15, 1930 in, Hagerstown, MD she was daughter of the late Marion F. Newlin and Anne Mae Sherman Newlin. Hazel is survived by her significance other, Harold Eshelman of 24 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Marshall Henson. She worked tirelessly as a cook and caregiver for the elderly. She was a member of the Gad-Abouts square dance club. Hazel is survived by three daughters, Sonji Lee Damico, Mitzi Henson-Ruetsch and Carolyn Lee Cintron; one brother, Vernon Newlin; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Lee Henson and eleven brothers and sisters. A memorial service will be held 12:00 noon Wednesday at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. Pastor Kevin Hardy will officiate.
