HARRY VINCENT GRABILL, 88, of 18310 Summerlin Drive, Hagerstown, Maryland, died Sunday, July 1, 2007 at Homewood at Williamsport. in Williamsport, MD Born November 5, 1918 in Hedgesville, WV, he was the son of the late Charles and Nora Ropp Grabill. He was a 1939 graduate of Romney School for the deaf in Romney, WV. He was employed with The Herald-Mail Company for twenty-two years and retired in1984 from Government Printing Office. He was of the Protestant faith. He volunteered with the DeafNet He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Peggy Main Grabill; two daughters, Martha Ambrose of Hagerstown, MD and Sylvia Myers of Williamsport, MD; three sons, David Grabill of Fairplay, MD, Donald Grabill of Boonsboro, MD and Jack Raun of Hedgesville, WV; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers. Services will be at 1:00 p. m. Thursday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown, Maryland. The Rev.Kaye Peacock will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. The family requests the omission of flowers.
