HARRY DANIEL "JOHN " CROMER, 82, formerly of 460 Pangborn Blvd, and 11 W. Baltimore Street in Hagerstown, died Sunday January 6, 2013 at Julia Manor Health Care Center. Born March 3, 1930 in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of the late H. Earl and Rhuey M. Wolfe Cromer. He was a member of Christ's Reformed Church. He served in the U.S. Marines as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean War. He was the owner of H. Earl Cromer's Store 1938-1995 and also was later employed with Hoffman's Transport. He was a member of North American Rod and Gun Club and Western Maryland Sportsman's Club. He was a former member of Morris Frock American Legion, Post 42. He is survived by his wife. Geraldine R. Doyle Cromer a daughter, Diane Bonebrake of Pennsylvania; 8 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, R. Natalie Johnston, a grandchild and a great grandchild. Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. The Rev. Dr. Gregg R. Meserole will officiate. Burial will be in Boonsboro Cemetery in Boonsboro, Md. Graveside military honors will be conducted by American Legion Morris Frock Post 42. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ's Reformed Church, 130 W.
