HAROLD WAYNE SMITH, 70, of 11943 Greencastle Pike, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Wednesday, May 03, 2006 at the Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown. Born November 21, 1935 in Chestnut Grove, Maryland, he was the son of the late Charles Ellsworth and Audrey Carbaugh Smith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Smith on July 8, 2004. He was retired from Danzer Metal where he was employed for nineteen years. He was a member of the Western Maryland Sportsman's Club. He is survived by two daughters, Deborah Yellott of Hagerstown, and Brenda Ann Minnick of Sharpsburg, Maryland; one son, Shane W. Smith of Hagerstown; one sister, Phyllis Socks of Hagerstown; one brother, Gerald Smith of Hagerstown; three grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by one brother, George Smith. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Monday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown. Rev. Robert V. Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 7 to 9 p. m.
