GUYEULA MAY HAMMERSLA, 82, of Williamsport,, Md., passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Julia Manor Health Care Center after a long illness. Born May 8, 1930 in Kirby, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Zella and Charles Dean. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Hammersla, Sr. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Sandman of Cumberland, , Md., and Laura E. Shuman and husband Lynn of Williamsport, Md.; two sons, Charles R. Hammersla, Jr. and wife Donna of Williamsport and Raymond J. Hammersla, Jr. of Hagerstown, Md.; a brother, Charles Dean of Moorefield, West Va.; sixteen grandchildren, thirteen great- grandchildren and two great- great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. Msgr. Alfred E. Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service on Friday. Wake following the services on Friday will be held at the Williamsport Red Men Lodge 84, 16129 Lappans Road, Williamsport, Md.
