Goldie Marie Shugars, 93, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on November 27, 2023, at Creekside Village. Born on December 4, 1929, in Hedgesville, WV, to Howard and Velvet (Pitzer) Wood, Goldie lived a life full of love, wisdom, and accomplishment.

Goldie was a woman of many talents, but her passion for real estate was evident to all who knew her. She loved her job as a real estate agent, selling countless homes in the Deep Creek, MD area. Her passion was the key to her success, and she was respected by her colleagues and clients alike. Her work was not just a job, but a calling, and she left an indelible mark on the community she served.

Goldie was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Samuel Shugars, who passed away in August of 2008.

Goldie was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Langenstein, and her husband, Charles "Chuck" Langenstein. She was a cherished grandmother to Tammy Arnold and great-grandmother to Logan Arnold. Her family was her pride and joy. Her love, wisdom, and strength will be greatly missed, but her spirit will live on in the lives of those she touched.

Goldie's life and memory will be cherished by her family, friends, and all who knew her in the real estate community.
