Gloria Jean Thompson, 81, of Hagerstown, passed away, Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Ravenwood Nursing Care Center. Born September 24, 1939 in Waynesboro, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Myers and Enola (Mort) Myers. Gloria was a graduate of South Hagerstown High School and a member of the Eagles Club in Hagerstown. She is survived by her husband, Phil E. Thompson; two daughters, Tamara Powell and Annette Semler; one son, Gregory Thompson; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Gloria was preceded in death by three sisters, Patsy Kirby, Judith Clark, and Saundra Russell. A memorial service will be held 2pm Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Rev. Randall S. Reid will officiate. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
