Gloria June Stotelmyer, 84, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Friday, November 14, 2025, at Meritus Medical Center.

Born April 29, 1941, in Salem, VA, she was the daughter of the late Wilton Morris and Madeline Ida (Shank) Rakes.

Gloria was a retired correctional officer at MCTC. She was a member of the Hagerstown Eagles #694, Williamsport Redmen Tribe 84, and Funkstown American Legion, Post 211.

Gloria is survived by daughter, Donna J. Frye; son, Ralph D. Stotelmyer; four grandchildren; several great grandchildren, including Jadia; sister, Brenda Joyce Sheppard; half-sister, Teresa Rakes; and three half-brothers, Dennis, David, and Wesley Rakes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Donald Stotelmyer, Sr.; one daughter, Brenda Lee Boward, one son, Frankie A. Stotelmyer, Jr.; one sister, Barbara Jean Green; and several grandchildren.
