GLEN DAVID SOUDERS, 69, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at his home. Born July 22, 1946 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Glen O. and Thelma Berger Souders. Glen was a 1964 graduate of South Hagerstown High School. He served in the U. S. Army Reserves. Glen was employed with Maryland Correctional Institute as a Dietary Officer, retiring from Central Kitchen Facility. He played and later was an umpire for Hub City Slow Pitch Soft Ball League where he was very active in promoting women's slow pitch softball throughout our area. Glen is survived by one son, Steve Souders of Hagerstown; one sister, Pamela Breichner of Hagerstown; three brothers, Donald Souders of Conway, SC, Eddie Souders and Brian Souders, both of Hagerstown; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Glen was preceded in death by one niece, Tina Wiley. Services will be held 11am, Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Steve McCullough will officiate. Burial will be in Manor Cemetery. The family will receive friends, Monday, from 6pm to 8pm at the funeral home.
