GLENN EUGENE MUNSON, 88, formerly of Fairview Road, Hagerstown, MD, died Friday, April 6, 2012 at Fahrney Keedy Memorial Home in Boonsboro, MD. Born January 30, 1924 in Woodmont, Maryland, he was the son of the late Earl H. Munson and Gladys C. Faith Munson Kayser. He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-four years, Betty J. Munson on April 5, 1990. In his younger years Glenn was employed as a farmer, later he owned and operated Munson's Atlantic Service Station and he retired from Hagerstown Auto Parts. He attended Mountain View Baptist Church. He is survived by three sons, Lynn E. Munson and wife, Sharon of Hagerstown, Earl L. Munson and wife, Joyce of Palm Beach, Florida and Dennis W. Munson and wife, Kathryn, Elizabeth Town, Kentucky; special friend, Rita Clark; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sylvia Jean Hamby and step-father, Thomas L. Kayser. Graveside service will be held at the conveniences of the family at Little Rose Hill Cemetery, Clear Spring, MD. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland 21742.
