GLADYS IRENE GINGERY, 95, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Williamsport Retirement Village. Born, August 25, 1922 in Fairview, MD, she was the daughter of the late Robert Jacob and Lula Grace Lizer Welty. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellery Gingery on January 8, 2010. Gladys was a 1940 graduate of Clear Spring High School. She was employed with Hagerstown Shoe Co. for thirty-five years retiring in 1984. Gladys attended Christ Lutheran Church and was a member of AARP. Gladys is survived by niece, Sharon Robinson and nephew, Jerry Slonaker, who cared for Gladys; and nephew, Daniel Mowen. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth L. Shaffer, Ada M. Shoop and Nellie F. Mowen; and a brother, John Calvin Welty. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
