GLADYS VIRGINIA BEAN, 83, of 13733 Hopps Landing Road, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Thursday, July 1, 2004 at the home of her daughter. Born September 19, 1920 in Matoka, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Giles and Bertha Lusk Bailey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eston Bean in 1990. She was a member of the Hagerstown Independent Church. She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Fraley of Hagerstown; one son, Roy Bean of Hagerstown; one brother, Junior Bailey of Athens, West Virginia; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ollie Hill, and Bertha Bean; and one grandson. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p. m. Saturday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard. Randy Bartles will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 7 to 9 p. m.
