GEORGE KENNETH HILES, SR. 81 of Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at the Williamsport Nursing Home in Williamsport, Maryland. Born November 24, 1925 in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Elmer and Beatrice Imes Hiles. He was previously employed with Manbeck's Bakery. He was a member of Bridge of Life. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Hiles; a daughter, Beatrice McGowan of Hagerstown; a sister, Margaret Duvall of Baltimore, Maryland; a brother, Edward Lee Hiles, Sr. of Newville, Pennsylvania and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, George K. Hiles, Jr. A memorial service will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Bridge of Life, 6 South Potomac Street, Hagerstown, Maryland. Rev. Jim Davies will officiate. Burial will be in Coble Cemetery, St. Thomas, Pennsylvania. There will be no viewing.
