Geraldine Phyllis Zeigler, 88, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Williamsport Nursing Home.

Born July 2, 1938, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late George Phillip Socks, Sr., and Agnes Viola (Kendle) Socks.

Geraldine was a member of Gateway Pentecostal Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was formerly employed as a mail clerk at Merkle, and at Maryland Maid Kitchens.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Franklin Zeigler, and her son, Gary Franklin Zeigler.

Geraldine was the last surviving member of a family of nine children. She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Rodney Rhodes will officiate. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
