Geraldine "Deanie" Viola Weller, 87, of Maugansville, MD, passed away at Charlottes Home on Sunday, June 17, 2018. Born April 6, 1931 in Maugansville, she was the daughter of the late George F. and Bertha L. (Sprankle) Ebersole. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth William Weller. Deanie was a Crossing Guard at Maugansville School for 43 years, retiring in 2003. She is survived by her two daughters, Deborah L. Forsythe and husband, Donald and Brenda S. Weller and Jack Reynard; two grandchildren, Dawn Cook and Denise Forsythe; three great grandchildren, Ryan C. Stull, Hunter L. Forsythe, and Emily M. Boyd; five half-sisters, Peggy Cover, Fanny Beamer, Virginia Rowe, Elizabeth (Susie) Sirbaugh and Betty Wolfe; two half-brothers, Elmer Ebersole and Glenn Ebersole; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Josephine Ebersole; three sisters, Anna Carter, Hazel Ridenour, and Dorothy Neibert; five brothers, George Robert Ebersole, Irvin Ebersole, Clarence Ebersole, Lawrence Ebersole, and Earl Ebersole; half-sister, Joann Hatton; and half-brother Kenneth Ebersole. The funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Chaplain Kibread Gudeta will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at the funeral home.
