Geraldine M. "Geri" Mauk, 86, of Boonsboro, Maryland, and Deltona, Florida, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at Advent Health in Deltona, FL.
Born July 22, 1938, in Millville, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late David William and Virginia (Nicewarner) Fraley.
She was married for 51 years to the love of her life, Reverend Marlin W. Mauk, who preceded her in death in 2007.
Geri was a 1956 graduate of Boonsboro High School, Boonsboro, MD.
Geri is survived by her devoted children: son Michael W. Mauk and wife Sherry of Boonsboro, MD; daughter Tamera S. Meredith and husband Rusty of Deltona, FL; daughter Denise E. Eapen of Deltona, FL and daughter Crystal M. Carter of Deltona, FL. She is also survived by two brothers: Marvin Fraley and his wife Norma Jean of Brownsville, MD; and Richard Fraley and wife Brenda of Smithsburg, MD.
In addition to her parents, Geri was preceded in death by her stepmother Agnes Fraley, three brothers Joseph Fraley, Forrest Fraley, and Daniel Fraley, and one sister, Vivian Martz.
She was a cherished grandmother to 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Geri loved spending time with her devoted and caring family, cooking meals, baking, playing games, and traveling together. She also enjoyed reading, especially her Bible. She also traveled to Israel and went on a mission trip to the Philippines with Marlin.
Geri served alongside her husband as a minister's wife for many years. She was employed at London Fog in Boonsboro, Maryland; Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown, MD; AAA National in Heathrow, FL, and most recently First USA (Chase), Heathrow, FL.
Geri was a faithful member of Boonsboro Family Worship Center and First Assembly, Deland, FL where she found great joy in worship and fellowship. Geri dedicated her time to serving in numerous ministries at each of the churches she attended over the years.
Funeral Services to celebrate Geri's life will be held at Boonsboro Family Worship Center, 7605 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Maryland on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 12:00 pm. Pastor Jack Payne and Pastor Billy Taylor will officiate. The family will receive friends 1 hour before the service from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. Interment will follow in Boonsboro Cemetery, 64 S. Main Street, Boonsboro.
Geri will be remembered for her deep faith, her gentle and caring spirit, and the unwavering love she shared with her family and friends.
In place of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Boonsboro Family Worship Center/Kacie's Place (food bank).
