GERALD REICHARD TAYLOR, SR., 74, of Clear Spring, Maryland, died Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro, Maryland. Born August 19, 1938 in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of the late Howard R. and Margaret I. Houser Taylor. He was preceded in death by his wife of Fifty-three years, Frances V. Taylor in 2008. He retired from Supreme Block Company. He was a member of the Izaak Walton League of America. He is survived by two daughters, Debbie Rash of Fountain, Colorado and Ruth Lushbaugh of Hagerstown, MD; one son, Gerald R. Taylor, Jr. of Clear Spring, MD; five sisters, Phyllis Zittle, Gloria Rudisill, Shirley Lowe all of Hagerstown, Linda Everhart of Georgia and Margaret Heleine; three brothers, Howard Taylor, Robert Taylor and Gary Taylor all of Hagerstown, MD; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Trisha Taylor; one sister, Dana Whittington and five brothers, Ned Taylor, Charles Taylor, Raymond Taylor, Richard Taylor and David Taylor. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. Chaplain Mike Simane will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
