GEORGE WILLIAM "BILL" VIRTS, 91, of Autumn Assisted Living, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at his home. Born March 18, 1920, in Charles Town, West Virginia, he was the son of the late George Milton and Donna Isabell Birkitt Virts. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Virts. He was a veteran of World War II. He was retired from CSX Railroad Company. He was a member of Harvest Baptist Church. He is survived by two daughters, Deborah Hamilton, and husband David, of Funkstown, Maryland, and Beverly Greig, and husband Thomas, of York, Pennsylvania; one brother, Robert Eugene Virts of Orlando, Florida; and two grandsons. Private graveside services will be held for the family. There will be no viewing.
