Obituary

GEORGE FRANKLIN (Frank) STOVER, JR., 89, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Monday, January 19, 2015 at Meritus Medical Center. Born November 7, 1925 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late George Franklin Stover, Sr. and Irene Kunkle Stover. Frank was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army. He was employed with Fairchild Industries and then with Ewing Oil Co., retiring after many years of service. He was a life member of VFW William D. Byron Post 1936, and a life member of Williamsport American Legion Post 202. Frank is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marilyn D. Stover; one daughter, Loretta Spessard and husband, Ned, of Hagerstown; one sister, Shirley Paine of Dale City, VA; one brother, Roland Stover and wife, Dottie, of Hagerstown; one granddaughter; and two great granddaughters. Services will be held 1pm, Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd, Hagerstown. William Divelbiss will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends a half hour prior to the service. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
