George Wayne Socks, 76, a cherished husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on July 20, 2024. Born on March 31, 1948, in Washington County, he was the son of the late Ella Josephine Socks.

George was a 1966 graduate of Sparrows Point High School in Baltimore.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Mary Socks, and his devoted daughter, Stacy Socks, along with her significant other, Bobbi McCoy. George's passion for life was evident in his love for his three dogs, Champ, Eliza Jean, and Abigail, and his fondness for westerns. His mornings were often spent in the joyful company of his buddies over a cup of coffee, a ritual that brought him immense pleasure.

A family gathering will be planned for a later date at the convenience of the family.
