GEORGE BRENTON RENNER III, 78, of Hagerstown and a resident of Fahrney-Keedy Nursing Home, died Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Washington County Hospital. Born May 13, 1931 in Hagerstown he was the son of the late George B. �Jake� and Beulah Ann Hamby Renner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Ann �Ellabell� Renner, August 13, 2001. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from Shifler Electric. He was a member of the American Legion Post #42 for 46 years and was a lifetime member of the Western Maryland Sportsman Club. He is survived by two daughters, Wanda L. Kendle and husband James E. of Hagerstown and Susan M. Fraley and husband Daniel L. of Hagerstown; a son, George B. Renner IV and wife Darlene; a brother, Harry James Renner of Hagerstown; four grandchildren, Charles L. Williard and wife , Marsha, Jessica N. Nigh, Brenton S. Renner and Brenton A. Renner. He was preceded in death by a sister, June A. Tritsch and a granddaughter, Nicole Sue Williard. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd with Rev. Daniel L. Fraley and Rev. Eric L. Fraley officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park with military honors conducted by American Legion Post #42. The family will receive friends, Sunday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
