GEORGE WASHINGTON MYERS, 80, of Clear Spring, Maryland passed away Thursday December 5, 2013 at his home. Born February 22, 1933 in Sharpsburg, Maryland, he was the son of the late Howard Sylvester and Matrona Walters Myers. George was self-employed with George Myers Trucking, and retired from Leroy Myers Inc. He is preceded in death by his son, Ricky Lee Myers, Sr.; daughter, Robin Sue Myers; five brothers, Floyd Myers, Gardner Myers, Granville Myers, Leland Myers, and Alvin Myers; and three sisters, Thelma Myers, V. Caroline Cullison, and Patricia Krause. George is survived by his wife, Shirley Myers; daughter-in-law, Jeanne Myers of Clear Spring, Maryland; brother, Leroy Myers, Sr. of Clear Spring; granddaughter, Robin Neikirk and husband Justin of Hagerstown, Maryland; grandson, Ricky Myers Jr. and wife Lauren of Big Pool, Maryland; two great-grandsons, James Myers and Nathan Myers. Services will be held Tuesday, December 10th, 11am at the Hagerstown Bible Church, 203 Summit Ave., Hagerstown, Maryland. Pastor Dale Carver will officiate. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery, in Sharpsburg, Maryland, following the service. The family will receive friends Monday, 4-6pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E.
