GEORGE V. MONG III, 61, of 342 Harmison Lane, Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, died on Thursday, September 22, 2005 at the V. A. Medical Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Born April 19, 1944 in Washington County, Maryland, he was the son of Dorothy Elizabeth Wolfe Mong of Boonsboro, Maryland, and the late George Valentine Mong, Jr. He owned and operated the George V. Mong III Home Improvements in Fairplay, Maryland for fifteen years, until retiring. He was a member of the Living Room in Martinsburg, West Virginia. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Diane Mong; three sons, Christopher Mong and Patrick Mong, both of Hedgesville, West Virginia, and Jason Mong of Fairplay, Maryland; three sisters, Janet Lewis of Thurmont, Maryland, Ann Sullivan of Hagerstown, Maryland, and Carol Plum of Boonsboro, Maryland; one brother, Gary Mong of Hagerstown; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Thursday at the MINNICH FUNERAL HOME, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown. Pastor Kevin Green will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p. m.
