GEORGE RAY HOWLETT, JR., 70, formerly of Guilford Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland, died Saturday, January 13, 2007 at Julia Manor. Born June 22, 1936 in Washington County, Maryland, he was the son of the late George R. and Margaret Martin Howlett. He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-eight years, Connie Howlett. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was employed at Fountain Head Country Club for twenty-eight years as a caddy master. He is survived by two daughters, Trina Linton of Hagerstown, Maryland and Lisa Howlett of Newport, Florida; three sons, Shorty Howlett of Williamsport, Maryland, Gregory Howlett and Terry Howlett both of Hagerstown, Maryland; one sister, Hedy Howlett of Hagerstown, Maryland; two granddaughters, and three grandsons. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronnie Howlett and Eddie Howlett. Graveside Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 17636 West Washington Street, Hagerstown, Maryland. The Rev. William Swope will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown, Maryland from 7 to 9 p.m.
