George Arthur Hoover, 59, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Thursday afternoon, November 20, 2025, at his home. Born January 31, 1966 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late George Miller Hoover and Carolyn Sue "Susie" (Bussard) Funk, of Hagerstown.

George graduated from Hedgesville High School in 1984 and went on to build a 30-year career as an electrician with Funk Electric. He had a lifelong appreciation for Ford trucks and held a special fondness for the Shelby Mustang. George loved spending time at the beach, relaxing in the sand near the Purple Moose, and in his younger years, he enjoyed camping trips with his family.

In addition to his mother, George is survived by three sons, Justin, Jared, and Jacob Hoover; five grandchildren, Makayla, Blake, Adalynn, Cainen, and Emerleigh; and his ex-wife, Melissa "Missy".

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-6pm on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD.
