George (Manny) C. Eyler, Jr., 89, of Williamsport, MD, passed away Friday, October 19, 2018 at Homewood of Williamsport. Born August 14, 1929 in Woodsboro, MD, he was the son of the late George C. Eyler, Sr. and Sarah E. (Weddle) Eyler. George served in the U. S. Navy and was a veteran of the Korean war. After graduating from three years of technical school, he worked for the U. S. Army 7th Signal Command until retirement at Fort Ritchie, MD in May 1987. He traveled extensively and visited five continents, three oceans, 29 countries, 48 states and five Canadian provinces. George was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy A. Eyler. He is survived by three daughters, Gwyneth, of PA, Lorie, of Oregon, and Yvonne, of MD. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by three brothers, John Charles, Glenn William, and Kenneth Weddle Eyler. There will be no services. Arrangements are by the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD.
