George "Donnie" Donald Scadden Jr., passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022 at his home. He was born in Hagerstown, MD on August 24, 1951 to the late George D. Scadden Sr. and Delores May Baker Scadden.

Donnie enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking, hunting, throwing horseshoes, betting the horses, and watching NASCAR. He retired from Maryland Correctional Institute after 26 years where he held the title of Plant Manager with the rank of Captain.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Pam Keefauver and her husband, John and Denise Scadden, and his brother, Jerry "Jake" Scadden.

He is survived by his wife, Clara Scadden, his daughter, Denise Scadden Jones and her husband, Terry, his son, Matthew Scadden and his wife, Wilma, his stepdaughter, Chandra Morgan, and his three grandchildren, Tyler, Emily, and Everett.

Family and friends are welcomed for Celebration of Life on Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard in Hagerstown.
