George "Cook" William Bumbaugh, Sr., 75, of Hagerstown, MD, passed Friday, October 19, 2017 at Julia Manor Health Care. Born May 5, 1942 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late William Eugene and Mary (Worthington) Bumbaugh. Cook was previously employed with United Cerebral Palsy. He is survived by two sons, George Bumbaugh, Jr. and Timothy Corbiser; two sisters, Lori Ann Staley and Connie Pratt; one brother, Terrance Bumbaugh; one sister-in-law, Pearl Bumbaugh; one grandson, Christopher Bumbaugh; four great grandchildren, Camden Bumbaugh, Lucas Bumbaugh, Carson Bumbaugh, and Liam Bumbaugh; numerous nieces and nephews; companion, Donna Swope; and three stepsons, Michael Swope, Donald Swope, and James Magaha. In addition to his parents, Cook was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Kay Bumbaugh; and a brother, John Bumbaugh. A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date.
