Gene Francis Bussard, 70, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Born September 29, 1947 in Sharpsburg, MD, he was the son of the late Mary Ellen (Crampton) Bussard and the late James William Bussard. Gene was employed with Buchanan Auto Park in Waynesboro, PA. He was a member of Elks Club #378, and for 17 years was a member of the Blue Grass Image Band. Gene is survived by his wife, Ruby King Bussard; one step-daughter, Jennifer Leese; two step-sons, Mike Brooks and Jason Brooks; one brother, Johnny Bussard and wife, Hazel; two aunts, Ethel Clipp and Hazel Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Ethel Churchey Bussard. The family will receive friends Friday, November 17, 2017 from 6 to 8pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. A funeral service will be at 7pm Friday, November 17, 2017 at the funeral home.
