GARY LYNN REID, 57, of 4705 Ford Fields Road, Myersville, Maryland, died on Monday, October 24, 2011 at Meritus Medical Center. Born February 21, 1954, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he was the son of the late John and Carmelita Van Deventer Reid. He was employed as an Information Technology Professional. Gary loved to hunt, and loved his family. He is survived by his wife of thirty-three years, Kathy Reid; two daughters, Mariah Kingma, and husband, Tim, of Australia, and Cassie Reid, and fianc, Carl Stottlemyer, of Hagerstown; one sister, Sandra Hart, and spouse, Florence Jessup of Portland, Oregon, two step-sons, Dempsey Kifer of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Corby Kifer of Hagerstown; grandchildren, Silas Kingma, and Ayla Kingma, both of Australia, and Braxton Reid of Hagerstown; and one niece, Ashley, and one nephew, Trevor. He was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Lewis. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 28, 2011 at 4:00 p. m. at Hawkwood Farm, 10519 Highland School Road, Myersville, Maryland 21773. Erin Lutzer Aylor will officiate.
