Gary Lee Myers, 73, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away surrounded by his loving family, wife, sons, and grandchildren on Thursday, February 16, 2023. He was born on August 17, 1949 to the late Lester Mason Myers Sr. and Mary Brown Myers, and lovingly raised by his stepmother, Ruth Myers.

Gary was employed for over 25 years with Beaver Mechanical Contractors as a welder. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the 173rd Airborne Infantry Battalion. Gary served in Vietnam and was awarded a Purple Heart, Vietnam Service Medal with four Bronze Service Stars, and the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross. He was additionally awarded a National Defense Service Medal, Combat Infantryman's Badge, Parachute Badge, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and several Sharpshooter awards.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Linda Kay Myers, his sons, Gary Paul Myers and David Lee Myers, his grandchildren who lovingly referred to him as "Pappy", Emily, Courtney, and Kiran, his great-grandchildren, Skyler, Gunner, Forrest, Alexios, Eliseo, and Kali, his brothers, Lester Myers Jr. and his wife, Debbie and Roy Myers, his sisters, Betty Jane Seibert and her husband, Sammy and Maryann Churchey and her husband, Bobby, many nieces and nephews, and his beloved cat, Precious.

Family and friends are welcomed for a graveside service on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 11:00am at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 17636 W. Washington Street in Hagerstown.

Military honors will be provided by Morris Frock American Legion Post 42. Pastor Allen Robinson will officiate.
