GARY W. LEACH, went to be with the Lord January 30, 2014. He was born in Everett PA on 6/3/34. The son of the late Percy and Viola Leach (Everett, PA). He was a graduate of Everett High School class of 1952. He received his degree in Pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy where he was awarded the 1960 Rexall Award for outstanding achievements in Pharmacy Administration. He was a member of the Maryland and Washington D.C. Pharmacy Association and president of the Washington D.C. association from 1967-1968. He worked in Pharmacy for 40 years. He started his career with Peoples Drugs Stores in Washington D. C., where he opened and managed several stores and became the Pharmacy coordinator for the Washington Metro Area. He retired as a Pharmacist, which was always his passion, at CVS in Hagerstown. Gary is survived by his wife Charlotte (married March 14, 1957), his brother Dick Leach (Dubois, PA), his two sons and daughter in-laws, Jeffrey and Cynthia Leach (Boston, MA) and Michael and Terry Leach (Little Rock, Arkansas) and 5 grandchildren, Jeffrey Jr., Madeline and Daniel (Boston, MA) and Emerson and Lila (Little Rock, Arkansas). Gary was preceded in death by his parents, brother, James Q. Leach (Everett, PA) and sister, Joyce Leach (Everett, PA). Gary was a member of the Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church (UMC) of Boonsboro where he served terms as the Chair of the Pastor Parrish Committee. He was also an usher and greeter for several years and severed as a volunteer helping the senior Gad Abouts. He and his wife Charlotte went on two mission trips with the church to Maine and Kentucky to perform community service. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Army. A celebration of life service will be held at the Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church, 134 S. Main St, Boonsboro, MD on Monday, February 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Rev Dr. Ray Roberson will officiate.
