In loving memory of Gary Eugene Eichelberger Sr., of Williamsport, MD, who passed away peacefully on Friday, September 4, 2026, at the age of 79. Born February 24, 1947, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Kreps A. Eichelberger and Pearl I. (Wise) Eichelberger.

Gary was a 1966 graduate of Boonsboro High School. He worded at North American Housing but retired from Jamison Door Co. He served in the U.S. Army for three years and was a member of the Boonsboro American Legion Post 10 for 53 years.

He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Ginny Marie Eichelberger; his sister Linda Twigg; his brother, Leonard Eihelberger; and stepbrother, David Clopper.

Gary is survived by his wife, Betty R. (Grimes) Eichelberger; his daughter, Kristy L. (Eichelberger) Beatty; his son Gary E. Eichelberger Jr.; his granddaughter Emilianna; his two sisters, Shirley K. Myers and Etta R. Witmer; and his stepbrother, Simon Clopper. Also, several nieces and nephews.

There will be a memorial service held at 7:00pm on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Brad Nigh will officiate. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
