GARNETTA LOUISE LOCKARD, 67, of 128 East First Street, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Thursday, March 25, 2004 at her home. Born August 24, 1936 in Washington County, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Milton Moats, Sr. and Pearl Higgins Moats. She was a member of the Emmanuel Chapel in Smithsburg, Maryland. She is survived by her husband, Leroy C. Lockard; two daughters, Linda Neff, and Tina Kline, both of Hagerstown; two sons, Rodney Lockard, and Garry Lockard, both of Hagerstown; four sisters, Gladys Calandrelle of Hagerstown, Betty Hornbaker of Halfway, Maryland, Goldie Brown of Williamsport, Maryland, and Jeannie Gehr of Big Pool, Maryland; one brother, Milton Moats, Jr. of Fairfield, California; fourteen grandchildren, and twenty-three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Leroy Lockard, Jr.; one daughter, Mary Winters; one sister, Barbara Roach; and one brother, Paul Moats. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Monday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard. Rev. Jonathan Laye will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 7 to 9 p. m.
