Frederick Guy Henson, Sr., 79, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Meritus Medical Center. Born August 21, 1942, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Alfred and Amanda (Nave) Henson. Frederick was preceded in death by his wife, Vernice A. Henson on October 26, 2015. Frederick was a member of New Life Christian Ministries. He retired from Grove Manufacturing after working there for 38 ½ years. Frederick is survived by three daughters, Kimberly Mullendore and husband, Richard, Teresa Galatanu and husband, George, and Vernice Potts and husband, Jeffrey; 13 grandchildren, Leann, Michael, Rebecca, Nicole, Joshua, Chante, Jeffrey, Courtney, Rachel, Hope, Abby, Jacob, and Teddy; 18 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Betty Forsythe. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Frederick Henson, Jr.; four sisters, and five brothers. A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Friday, October 1, 2021, at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 127 Britner Ave., Williamsport, MD. Pastor Ken. R. Harris and Pastor Doug Forsythe will officiate. The family will receive friends at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD, from 6-8pm on Thursday September 30, 2021.
