FREDA RAE WEMPE, 84, formerly of Milestone Garden Apartments, Williamsport, Maryland, died on Friday, June 12, 2009 at the Manor Care Nursing Home in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, where she was a resident. Born February 12, 1925 in Williamsport, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late David A. and Lydia G. Curfman Gossard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph F. Wempe on May 12, 1980. She was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by twelve brothers and sisters. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Tuesday at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, MD. Rev. Randall Reid will officiate. Family will receive friends at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD on Monday from 6 to 8 p. m.
