FREDA REBECCA STONE, 77, of Virginia Avenue, Hagerstown, Md. died on Sunday, December 4, 2005 at Julia Manor Nursing Home. Born May 19, 1928 in Big Spring, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Earl L. and Naomi Hawbaker Small. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Stone who died August 13, 1992. She was a 1946 graduate of Clear Spring High School and was a retired employee of Mack Trucks. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Trinity. She was a member of St. Paul's Quilters in Clear Spring and also a member of the Clear Spring American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 222. She is survived by a daughter, Karen T. Kulpinski of Williamsport, two sons, Tyvis K. Stone and Dwain K. Stone, both of Hagerstown; four sisters, Velma E. Kaylor of Clear Spring, Mildred R. Hart and Esther L. Shirley, both of Big Spring and Milbrey Jeanne Templon of Hagerstown; two brothers, Earl L. Small of Hagerstown and Norman S. Small of Big Spring; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, R. Kirk Stone , two sisters, Vera Kirkpatrick and Elaine Shirk and a brother, Marshall Small. Funeral services will be held at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. Rev. Shane Stauffer will officiate. Burial will be on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Little Rose Hill Cemetery in Clear Spring, Md. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
