FRED E. (JR) PHILLIPS, JR., 49, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Monday, November 23, 2015. Born July 20, 1966 in Hagerstown, he was the son of Fred Eugene Phillips, Sr. and Judith Margaret (Valentine) Phillips. JR was employed with The Fire Store in Williamsport, MD. He attended Faith Christian Fellowship. JR was an avid collector of antiques and well loved by the many lives he touched. JR is survived by his wife, Gail L. Phillips; one son, Noah Zachary Phillips; one adopted daughter, Lily Grace Phillips; one brother, Terry Lee Phillips, Sr., and wife, Amber Jane; maternal grandparents, Franklin L. and Sarah M. Valentine, Sr.; one aunt, Helen Elizabeth Woods; and one uncle, Franklin Leroy Valentine, Jr. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Carroll B. and Beulah V. Phillips. Services will be held 10am, Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Mike McNamee will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8pm at the funeral home.
