FRED ROSARIO DELAZIO, JR., 72, of Hagerstown, Maryland, died Saturday, December 17, 2011 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Born January 26, 1939 in Hazelton, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Fred R. Delazio and Nellie Lamana Delazio. He served in the U. S. Army. He was employed with KAR Products, Inc. in Cranberry New Jersey for fifteen years, retiring in 1998. He was of the Catholic faith. He was a member of American Legion Funkstown Post 211, Goodwill Athletic Club and the Washington County AMVETS Post 10. He is survived by his wife, Mary Kathleen Delazio; a daughter, Robin Melody Brooks and husband Steve of Hagerstown; a brother, Ronald Delazio and wife Joyce of Allentown, PA; two grandsons, Zachary Brooks and Joshua Brooks. Funeral services will at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Michael Seger will officiate. Burial will be in Park Head Cemetery in Big Pool, MD. Graveside military honors will be provided by Washington County AMEVETS Post 10 and Marine Corp League of Hagerstown. The family will receive friends on Wednesday one hour before the service at the funeral home.
