Franklin Donald Smith, Jr., 72, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Sunday, December 1, 2024, at his home.

Born February 29, 1952 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Franklin D. Smith, Sr. and Ruth (Harbaugh) Smith.

Franklin was retired and formerly employed for 53 years at Washington County Hospital.

He loved NASCAR, old movies, and old television shows, especially Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Rawhide, and Columbo.

Franklin is survived by his wife of over 20 years, Mary Smith; four stepsons, Jeffrey Price (Dawn), David Price, Mike Price (Rose), and William Price.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Glenn Presgraves.
