On January 2, 2023, at the age of 57, Frank Charles Shortt went to be with his heavenly father, our Lord, and Savior Jesus Christ. Frank was born in Baltimore, Maryland on August 17th,1965 by Thomas and Helen Shortt.
Frank was married to the love of his life, Angelina, on November 12, 2017. Frank is survived by his son Frank and wife Erica Phillips and Son, Shane Shortt. Stepsons Shae King and fiancé Kathleen, Cobi King and Hannah, and Stepdaughters Zoie King and Lily Townes. Frank is also survived by his grandchildren Summer, Destiny, Kaylee, McKenzie, Brycen, Braelynn , and Nova. His siblings, Lafawn and Ed Hlafka, Ricky Shortt, Lonnie and Linda Shortt, Bobby, and Lita Shortt. Frank also leaves his best companion canine Syd. They loved to take walks, car rides, and playing ball.
Frank was a long-time employee at The Hope Center of the Hagerstown Rescue Mission as a Foundation's Vocational Mentor. Frank was devoted to changing the lives of the residents and people in the community of Hagerstown, Maryland by serving and ministering through the word of God. Frank was also a member of Hagerstown Christian Church where he was involved in many ministries and loved to play softball with the church league. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Frank. He loved quiet evenings with his wife, Angelina and the family. Frank had a quirky personality that always brought smiles to people's faces. Frank was the most selfless man with the kindest and most caring heart.
Frank will be deeply missed by his extended family and the great friendships that he had the pleasure of having. There will be a Celebration of Life on Jan. 28, 2023, at the Hope Center, 125 North Prospect Street, Hagerstown, MD 21741 at 4:00 pm.
