Frank James Mason Sr., 63, of Hagerstown, MD gained his wings on Sunday July 27, 2025.

Born March 6, 1962 in Bethesda, MD, he was the son of the late Frederick Mason and Kathleen Lowman-Kegarise.

He is survived by his significant other of 14 years, Cathy Fear; two sons, Jeremy Mason of Greencastle, PA and Frank James Mason Jr. of Hagerstown, MD; three stepchildren, Chasity Loveless (Jeremy) of Martinsburg, WV, Angel Parker (Dustin) of Hagerstown, MD, Edward Fear Sr. (Emily) of Hagerstown, MD; two brothers, Fred Mason Jr. (Linda) and Rodger Ross of Hagerstown, MD; two sisters, Tina Breeden of Falling Waters, WV and Rayetta Spigler (Richard) of Hagerstown, MD; 20 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was such a loving and caring person. He accepted all of Cathy's children and grandchildren as his own. There was no such word as "step" to him. Blood or not they were as much his family as they were hers. His grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Growing up, Frank loved playing baseball. He also loved watching his Washington Commanders play.

His hobbies included fishing, spending time with his family, and reading his bible. He also loved birds, especially his parakeets Adam and Eve.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, MaChele Smith, granddaughter, Natalie Parker, and grandson, Seth Ryder.
