Frances Mae Clingan, 76, of Hagerstown, passed away, Friday, February 9, 2024, at Coffman Nursing Home.

Born December 28, 1947, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Howard Richard and Dorothy Jane (Resh) Thompson.

Frances earned her Associates Degree in Nursing, had Snookie's Cookies Stand at the Hagerstown City Farmers Market, and was co-owner of the View Street Diner.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Alan N. Clingan, in November 2017.

Frances is survived by son, Alan R. Clingan, and wife, Cindy; daughter, Maryfran Staggs, and husband, Jason; brother, Timothy Thompson; and three grandchildren, Alan "Riley" Clingan, Alison Clingan, and Alex Clingan.

A memorial service will be 2pm Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Allan Green will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
