FRANCES ELAINE BOWARD, 72, of Fahrney-Keedy Home, 8507 Mapleville Road, Boonsboro, Maryland died on Monday, November 6, 2006 at the Washington County Hospital. Born June 1, 1934 in Washington County, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late John C. and Bessie Susan Purdham Bowen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Boward. She was a former volunteer at Fahrney-Keedy Home. She is survived by one sister, Betty Ficken of Hagerstown; one brother, Lynn Bowen of Hagerstown; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Evans, and Hazel Fraker; and two brothers, Clarence Bowen, and Ralph Bowen. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Thursday at the Beaver Creek Cemetery. Rev. Louis L. Emerick will officiate. Family will receive friends at the MINNICH FUNERAL HOME, 415 East Wilson Boulevard on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p. m.
