Frances "Ann" Wilson, 72, of Williamsport, MD passed into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Meritus Medical Center. She was born May 30, 1947 in Winchester, VA to her late parents, Stephen Merriner and Frances (Lineburg) Merriner. Ann was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Ferraro. Ann is survived by her loving husband Richard G. Wilson, Jr. with whom she recently celebrated 50 wonderful years of marriage; sister, Susan Rippeon of Hagerstown; her son, Josh and wife Gwen of Williamsport, and son, Matt and wife Taylor of Williamsport; 9 grandchildren whom she adored immensely - Maddie, Johnny, Zeke, and Naomi of Josh and Gwen and Eli, Judah, Micah, Noah, and Glory of Matt and Taylor. She was a graduate of South Hagerstown High School and attended Hagerstown Junior College and Shepherd University, majoring in education and achieved a masters degree in education as well. Ann worked for Washington County Public Schools as a 2nd grade teacher at Pangborn Elementary for most of her 25 years of teaching. She also taught 2nd grade for several years at Funkstown Elementary and one year of kindergarten at Clear Spring Elementary. She joyfully worshiped her Lord with Christ Community Church, through the ministry of Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry, and was a faithful supporter of the Hagerstown Area Pregnancy Clinic. Anns greatest joy came from spending time with her beloved husband, precious sons and "daughters" in law, and being "Nanny/YaYa" to her grandchildren. She had a gentle, loving spirit and dedicated herself to praying faithfully for any and all requests. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Ann may be made to Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry (www.fhfh.org), or Hagerstown Area Pregnancy Clinic (www.hapconline.com) Arrangements include a visitation time from 6PM-8PM at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd in Hagerstown on Wednesday, September 4th. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Christ Community Church meeting at 8916 Mapleville Road, Boonsboro, MD on Thursday, September 5th at 11AM preceded by an additional visitation time at 10AM.
