FLORENCE MILDRED SHEAFFER, 87, of Fahrney-Keedy Nursing Home in Boonsboro and formerly of 704 Guilford Avenue, Hagerstown, Md. died on Sunday, September 23, 2007 at Washington County Hospital. Born November 23, 1919 in Washington County, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Harry Earl and Elsie Grace Cline Weagley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl (Buck) Sheaffer who died February 22, 2001. She was a former member of the Hagerstown Church of the Brethren. She had been employed with Beachley Furniture Company and retired from the Washington County Health Department. She is survived by a daughter, JoNan Meyer and husband William of Martinsburg, West. Virginia; two grandchildren, William Meyer, Jr. and wife Angie of Hagerstown, and Elizabeth Rose and husband Chad of Hagerstown; a great granddaughter, Madison Rose of Martinsburg, West Virginia and a great grandson, Austin Meyer of Hagerstown. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Earl Weagley, Jr. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. The Rev. Janice Dorsey and Rev. Edward L. Poling will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, one hour prior to the service.
