Evelyn Louise Farris, 86, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025.

Born May 29, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Franklin L. and Mary Josephine Peters Kriner.

She worked at Maryland National Bank and retired as Branch Manager at Hagerstown Trust in May 2000.

Evelyn is survived by three daughters, Donna Koons, Barbara Shank (husband, Robert), and Mary Jo Reed (husband, Terry); one son, Joseph Farris (wife, Evie); grandchildren Jennifer Farris, Jared Shank, Justin Shank, Bobby Shank, Heather Koons, James R. Farris III, Brad Farris, Jamie Files, Amanda Scott, Shannon Gower, and Daniel Gower; great grandchildren, Tyler, Diamond, Jaequon, Zoey, Carson, Mercedes, Haley, Alivia, Josiah, Micah, Hendrix, Tyler, Trey, Kaitlin, Braden, Bri, Bradley, Hunter, Abbey, and Lauren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, James Richard "Buster" Farris Sr in 2021; son, James R. Farris, Jr; grandson, Joshua Farris; and brother, James Kriner.

The funeral service will be held at 11am on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Robert Robinson will officiate. The burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
